This is my first time creating a video of any kind. I took part in shooting, directing, and editing this video. Creating a music video came from a conversation with a friend & a hyper-pop artist, xoiyssa. We wanted to encapsulate the chaotic nature of the song & emotion brought from heartbreak.
We gathered inspiration from vintage Asian films, especially from Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai. Adopting a 4:3 aspect ratio and using a camcorder which gave off a warmer feeling.
We filmed this on Staten Island, NY during the summer of 2023.
